ANKARA (July 7): Malaysia has huge potential to become Turkiye’s major trading partner and the republic’s gateway and trading hub into ASEAN.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ismail Sabri Yaakob said the two countries are now in the final round of the Malaysia-Turkiye Free Trade Agreement (MTFTA) scope expansion negotiations which covers new sectors such as investment, services, and e-commerce.
KUALA LUMPUR (Oct 14): Price for crude palm oil (CPO) has been gazetted at RM3,575.80 a ton, which incurs the maximum export tax of 8%, according to a statement from the customs department posted on the Malaysian Palm Oil Board's website.
The CPO export tax has been kept at 8% since January 2021.
MINISTER of Plantation Industries and Commodities (MPIC) Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin Zuraida (picture) has proposed for Malaysia and Indonesia to proactively pursue their legal recourse filed with the World Trade Organisation (WTO) against the EU’s restrictions on palm oil biodiesel.
“I will ensure we put up an ‘aggressive’ fight against these foreign pressures and provide them with all the relevant evidence. We will show them that Malaysia is not a nation to be fooled around with,” Zuraisa said in a statement today.
