GOVERNMENT support in terms of strong policy and allocation of funds will help to further improve palm oil sustainability practices and requirements for the Malaysian Sustainable Palm Oil (MSPO) certification.
The promotion of Malaysian palm oil globally will also lead to higher acceptability and better market access.

ALOR GAJAH, Jan 9 — The government will adopt a two-pronged strategic approach in strengthening the palm oil export market in the Asian region as well as addressing the issue of anti-palm oil campaign sentiment by the European Union (EU).
Plantation Industries and Commodities Minister Datuk Zuraida Kamaruddin said the move includes strengthening the image and improving the quality of the country’s palm oil.
