GEORGE TOWN: PT Kenaf Fibre Global (PT KFG) and Kenaf Venture Global Sdn Bhd (KVG) have inked a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to develop Indonesia’s kenaf industry with the aim to raise the local community’s socio-economic status.

PT KFG is part of the KVG group and is the first company to be set up to explore international kenaf markets.

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysian kenaf planter and producer, Kenaf Venture Global Sdn Bhd (KVG) aims to expedite its expansion in Indonesia and Southeast Asia.

Towards this end, the company has inked a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of Aceh and PT Kenaf Diwana Sanjaya to collaborate in the development of technology, research and development of kenaf seeds in the province.

KOTA BARU: The National Kenaf and Tobacco Board (LKTN) has inked several memoranda of understanding (MoU) on collaborations with private companies to help the board in the planting, processing and marketing of kenaf products.

LKTN chairman Ab Aziz Ab Kadir said the move is also aimed at tackling the issue on the sale of smuggled cigarettes in the country.
