GETAH: Rubber production incentive deactivated for December 2021 – MRB

KUALA LUMPUR, Jan 3 -- The Malaysian Rubber Board (MRB) has announced that the Rubber Production Incentive (IPG) for smallholders was deactivated for December 2021 in Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak.
MRB said in a statement that the IPG would be activated if the average monthly price of SMR20 free on board (FOB) is at RM6.10 per kilogramme (KG) or if the farm gate price falls below RM2.50 per kg.
“The average farm price of scrap rubber in December 2021 for Peninsular Malaysia, Sabah and Sarawak was at RM2.90, RM2.60 and RM2.65 per kg, respectively,” it said.
Therefore, MRB said no payment was made for the month.
