KUALA LUMPUR (June 4): Minho (M) Bhd’s timber complex in Bandar Tun Abdul Razak, Jengka, Pahang Darul Makmur has been temporary closed by authorities due to the Covid 19 pandemic outbreak.
In a bourse filing, Minho said the complex belongs to its unit Lionvest Corporation (Pahang) Sdn Bhd.
It said on May 31, 2020, the Director General of Health, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah had announced that another six cases were detected at a sawmill in Maran.

Minho said on June 2, 2020, a team of government officials led by Minister of Health Datuk Sri Dr Adham Baba, Datuk Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah and other high ranking officials from the Pahang state government including Maran District Police Officer, DSP Norzamri Abd Rahman visited Lionvest Timber Complex to investigate the source of the virus infection.
“The Ministry of Health has temporary sealed off the Timber Complex for quarantine and disinfection process and all workers were sent to quarantine center,” it said.
Minho said Lionvest Timber Complex comprises of four sawmills, a plywood mill and wood fibre processing mill.
It added that all mills in the complex are rented and operated by third party.
All the workers that were detained and sent to quarantine center worked for the tenants, it said.
At the midday break today, Minho was unchanged at 26.5 sen, for a market capitalisation of RM90.24 million.
